I am passionate about helping people finding their Happiness Compass. ” |
My Name is Cindy BranchI completed the Master's Degree Program in Clinical Social Work at The University of Georgia and obtained a post-graduate certification in Psychodrama. For over thirty years, I have provided counseling services and established Branch Counseling, Inc. in 1999, which has two locations in Georgia - Athens and Saint Simons Island. In 2008, I joined the Athens Center for Emotional Healing. I started working with various agencies on a contractual basis, including Onsite Workshops (endorsed by Dr. Phil), Action Institute of California, and Maui Recovery. My experience includes outpatient and inpatient counseling, alcohol and drug treatment, hospice, and bereavement care, as well as providing mental health care in military and public safety settings. I am trauma-informed and continue to learn new approaches and modalities for psychotherapy and counseling.
My journey in therapy began with a strong desire to be heard and understood. I am dedicated to creating a meaningful, results-oriented experience for my clients, providing support, engagement, and encouragement. All of life's experiences (both past and present) provide context to current problems and issues. My clients are in emotional pain and distress but are not broken. Therefore, my goal is to heal, not fix, people. I customize therapy to meet each person's needs without judgment. Trusting your therapist is crucial, and trust is earned, not given. I am patient and provide my clients with the time and space to do their work and heal while also being able to work efficiently to help them achieve their goals. |
